TOUR Transalp: Climb 20.000 meters with a smile!

geschrieben am 12.07.2011 in Allgemein ·

SRAM WiFli Tour TransalpThe SRAM WiFLi concept had a great success among the Tour Transalp riders

1 week, 3 countries (Germany, Austria & Italy), 7 stages, 22 passes, 550 teams, 925km, 1100 participants, 19.494 meters of climbing, are the numbers which summarize the hardest but the greatest Cyclo stage race in Europe which took place from June 26th to July 2nd. The WiFLi system relies on a compact crankset, a mid-cage rear derailleur and an 11-32 cassette.

For 67 lucky riders SRAM set up a WiFLi kit, all they will remember: 11-32 = GREAT RIDING EXPERIENCE. Climbing a 12% uphill for more than two hours was easy and enjoyable.

Every day before and after each stage, four SRAM Techs provided support to all SRAM/ Zipp riders, making sure their bikes were working perfectly. They also offered them the opportunity to test the WiFLi system and feel the difference compared to a “standard set up*” on each climb.

More than a list of benefits, here are some quotes from the lucky riders:

  • “Super WiFLi ! “
  • “I wouldn’t have made today’ stage without WiFLi!”
  • “I would have died without WiFLi today!”
  • “Mortirolo is impossible without WiFLi !”
  • “Thanks SRAM, good job!”

The idea of going anywhere by bike with the WiFLi concept is a reality!

If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s time you did!
