Sport Import is continuing to expand its activities in the Polish market with the establishment of Sport Import sp. z o.o., a dedicated company based in Poland. With its new location in Poznań, the distributor is strengthening its local presence and moving closer to dealers and service operations in the market. The company will be managed by Małgorzata Gawlik, who has been working as International Key Account Manager for Sport Import since April 2023 and is particularly well connected within the Polish cycling market.
Earlier this year, Sport Import was appointed a distributor of SRAM, RockShox, Zipp, TIME, Truvativ and Hammerhead in Poland. At the same time, the company has steadily expanded its brand portfolio for the Polish market over the past years, most recently with the addition of Pirelli. Today, Sport Import is able to offer the majority of its international brand portfolio to Polish bicycle dealers. With the establishment of Sport Import sp. z o.o., the company is now consistently expanding its activities in the market:
“We have seen strong development in Poland for quite some time, both in the market and across our brands,” says Alexander Reinfeld. “With our own local company, we are creating the conditions to support our partners even more directly and efficiently.” According to Reinfeld, the local service structure is an especially important step: “Topics such as service, warranty handling or technical support can often be resolved much faster when handled directly within the country.”
The Sport Import sp. z o.o. team consists of a field sales team covering the whole of Poland, a Polish-speaking back office, and its own service center for technical support and after-sales services. Operations are additionally supported by Sport Import’s central European logistics structure in Germany. This allows the new company to combine the infrastructure of the headquarters with a local team directly in the market.
“We want to be accessible for our dealers and solve issues quickly,” says Małgorzata Gawlik. “Direct contact with the trade is very important to us, especially when it comes to service, personal support and fast coordination.”
