We proudly announce two new additions to its international sales team. For the first time, Italy gains a sales representative in the field. The country thus becomes the twelfth in which Sport Import is on the road with its own account managers.
Vittorio Mangano has been professionally involved in the sports industry for more than 30 years, and had his own mountain bike store in Milan for several years in the 1990s. After that, his professional career took him through the Italian bike stores as an agent. Vittorio worked for well-known brands in the MTB and E-MTB sector and since August is now on the road for Sport Import as an agent in Italy. Privately, Vittorio is rooted in the Gravity sector, benefiting from this in his job as a sales representative as well as from his years of experience in the industry. “The move to Italy with our own staff is an important milestone for us. We are now represented in a total of twelve European countries. With his experience, Vittorio is the ideal appointment for us and can additionally offer dealers in Italy a good mix of exciting brands,” classifies Managing Director Michael Müllmann. For Italy, Sport Import has distribution rights for the brands Reverse Components, USWE, 7iDP, VOXOM, Ambit Components, Space Brace and for various BMX brands such as SIBMX, Verde and ODI.
In the territory of eastern Austria, Slovenia and Croatia, Aleš Šilec is introduced as a new sales representative. Aleš has been in the bike industry since 2006 and can also draw on rich retail experience: he initially worked as a store manager for 9 years. After that, his path led him to the industry, where he was responsible for marketing as well as dealer training in the Balkans for a bike brand for a total of 5 years. Privately, Aleš switches back and forth between MTB and road biking. “His experience from his time as a store manager, especially his knowledge from purchasing, as well as his perspective from his time in the industry give Aleš an excellent mix that dealers in his sales territory can benefit from,” reports Björn Heyer, field sales manager at Sport Import.
